So…. we’ve recorded our sessions in Ogg format (with lowish bitrates). I use Ogg Vorbis (and only Ogg vorbis) for my personal music collection and have found it to compress nicely (better then MP3) and sound great to boot!

Then again, I cannot proclaim that I can always tell the difference between an MP3 and an Ogg encoded file, but the biggest reason we chose Ogg was because it is free!It is open source, free to use, royalty free etc etc.

We like open source.
